On Twilight Arc On Twilight Arc - A performance by Jenny Perlin followed by a screening of Beatrice Gibson’s films

James Gallery, CUNY, New York
October 18, 2016

Jenny Perlin performed On Twilight Arc, an excursion into the early days of film and the many fantastic precursors to the color and sound of the technology we know today. The performance was followed by a screening of Beatrice Gibson's films Crippled Symmetries and Performance for a Rich Man, which reflected on the language of music and film, taking William Gaddis’ JR as a point of departure. Solo for a Rich Man took place at a playground in Shoreditch contemporary London and included music by Fluxus artist George Maciunas and Mieko Shiomi’s Disappearing Music for Face.
