The House of Dust by Alison Knowles
INHABITED BY PEOPLE WHO LOVE TO READ

Jagna Ciuchta, The House of Lust, 2016

Every week during the exhibition, Ciuchta chose a quatrain from the printed version of The House of Dust and translated it into a corresponding fictional exhibition proposal with specific modes of display, site, environment, and contents. These projects accumulated on the gallery’s wall over the course of the exhibition.
The four fictionnal exhibitions that resulted from this process - Libido of the Forest, Morning Choice, The Young Man and Death, Wet Dreams - included texts as well as photos, paintings and collages that were layered on top of each other.
