A HOUSE OF WOOD
IN AN OVERPOPULATED AREA
USING ALL AVAILABLE LIGHT
INHABITED BY PEOPLE WHO LOVE TO READ

In response to Alison Knowles’s poem and in the continuity of his project, The Office of Gravitational Documents, Dieudonné Cartier has created a publishing house within the exhibition. Within this modular architecture, he proposes to create an ever-changing publication bringing together texts and images of the exhibition: the archives of The House of Dust, the exhibition works, performances and lectures, etc. Visitors can choose amongst available iconographic and textual elements to construct the content of their publication themselves. The price of each bound selection is determined by its weight. During the course of the exhibition, the artist or his representative are present in the “house” continually augmenting the editorial contributions with the various contributors of the project; artists, theoreticians, students and spectators.
Contributions: Sylvie Boulanger, Benjamin B. Buchloh, Betrand Clavez, Alessandro de Francesco, Maud Jacquin, Raphael Pirenne, Sébastien Pluot, Janet Sarbanes, Vanessa Theodoropoulou, Fabien Vallos and the artists. With support from Wallonie-Bruxelles International.
