Jagna Ciuchta considers Alison Knowles’s poem as a “fiction machine”, a starting point for imagining different exhibition scenarios with invited artists. In dialogue with the processual and generative potential of The House of Dust, she has constructed an evolving architecture, both stage setting and photographic studio, where she stages works that she then photographs in changing light conditions reminiscent of the variations of the third line of the poem. The artist is present at various moments of the exhibition to install each new set up and take new photos. The resulting images of this process are shown in the space as they are produced. With the support of the Fondation Nationale des Arts Graphiques et Plastiques.
