Joshua Schwebel, The infiltration, 2018
Performance in collaboration with Bully Fae Collins, Maud Jacquin, Clémence Larsimon, Anna Milone, Johnny Nawracaj and Sébastien Pluot

"Joshua Schwebel's project for The Tyranny of Distance is to infiltrate our positions as curators of the exhibition. As we cannot be in two places at once, he hired actors to play the roles of the absent curators: Clémence Larsimon performed Anna Milone in Angers; in Los Angeles Johnny Nawracaj performed as Maud Jacquin, and Bully Fae Collins played the role of Sébastien Pluot. To facilitate this duplication and substitution, Schwebel scripted the curator's tour that opened each exhibition. We worked together with him to compose this dialogue, which we reproduce to enrich your interpretation of the presented works.

With enthusiasm and sincerity, Maud Jacquin, Anna Milone, and Sébastien Pluot, Los Angeles and Angers, 2018."
